Hi. I am Barry Joseph.
I am formerly the VP of Digital Experience at the Girl Scouts of the USA and Associate Director For Digital Learning at the American Museum of Natural History.
When I began at the Museum I used this blog to talk about my adventures, exploring issues related to digital media and museum-based learning. I featured original interviews, thought pieces, and highlights from my work and those of my colleagues at the AMNH.
Starting in 2020, with the launch of Barry Joseph Consultancy, LLC, I turned this blog into a place to explore digital engagement writ large.

Where to Find Me at the upcoming MuseWeb Conference
I love MuseWeb. When I started work in 2012 at AMNH, it was the only conference everyone asked me about. Are you going? Are you going? So eventually I went, and I found my people. Educators were still a small … Continue reading

How I Used ClubHouse to Make Connections at an Online Conference
SEEKING CONNECTIONS I spent all week attending a conference I had heard about but never attended: MuseumNext. It is designed to “bring together a passionate community of museum leaders, makers and innovators to ask ‘what’s next for museums?’” I wanted … Continue reading
